Black Education Association

Founded in 1970, the Black Education Association provides a basic support system for black faculty, as well as a conduit for addressing issues related to diversity at VCU. Members of the BEA are committed to creating a community of scholars dedicated to equity and diversity throughout the VCU community and using our collective resources and knowledge to improve the quality of higher education, increase community engagement, encourage advocacy and enhance professional development.
