Creating Change Conference 2017

January 18, 2017

The National LGBTQ Task Force sponsors and organizes the Creating Change Conference, the pre-eminent political, leadership, and skills-building conference for the LGBTQ social justice movement.  Since 1988, Creating Change has created the opportunity for people to develop and hone their skills, celebrate victories, build community, and to be inspired by visionaries of the LGBTQ movement and allied movements for justice and equality.  The conference will be held at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown Hotel in Philadelphia, PA, January 18–22, 2017.

Equality VCU hopes to offer stipends to staff and faculty in units that do not provide funds for professional development.  Prior to applying for these stipends, please confirm that your unit will not provide funding for your attendance at the Creating Change Conference.   If you are interested, please complete the application here: https://goo.gl/forms/knMidmRtmzeSyWVL2 for a stipend to attend the conference. The stipend will be approximately $1,000, and is provided after the conference.  For more information about VCU's delegation to Creating Change, come to an information session: Wednesday, Nov.  2nd at 3pm in Hibbs 331, and/or Thursday, Nov. 17th at 3pm in Hibbs 331.
